This page has been created to coordinate prayers, updates and supports during a season of overlapping medical and caregiving needs for the Jamieson family. Read first the quick overview here and refer below for more background and details.

Family Context
In the past year, Larry experienced a heart attack (May 2025) followed by a stent placement (October 2025). In February 2026, Lisa was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer (pNET), with surgery scheduled for April 27, 2026.

Their daughter Carly (born 1998), who has Angelman Syndrome, lives at home and requires daily, lifelong care supported by both family and professional caregivers. These overlapping needs have significantly increased the family’s medical, caregiving, and household demands.

Quick overview of what helps most right now:

  • PRAYER - God is their ultimate comfort, hope and provider
  • Post-op practical help (meals + laundry assistance)
  • Medical + care costs (~$30,000+ ongoing out-of-pocket needs)
  • Funds to pay their existing workers to provide additional caregiving support for Carly during Lisa’s surgery and recovery
  • Urgent home safety repairs (deck + sinking front sidewalk)

These are the areas where support makes the most immediate difference. We recognize this is a lot. Not every need will be met through this page, and we are deeply grateful for any support—prayer, meals, hands-on help, encouragement, or financial gifts.

Ways to Help (organized by need)

1. Medical & Care Support (Highest Priority)

Out-of-pocket medical expenses, including deductibles, co-pays, out-of-network care, supplements, hearing aids, and ongoing treatment-related costs.

Funds to pay our existing workers to provide additional caregiving support for Carly during Lisa’s surgery and recovery is also a critical need.

2. Post-Op Practical Support

During Lisa’s recovery period, simple day-to-day support will be an incredible gift, reducing daily load in a very tangible way:
  • Meal support for the family
  • Help with laundry

3. Urgent Home Safety Repairs

  • Deck replacement (high priority): The existing deck is deteriorated. A temporary option (power washing/restaining) would only delay full replacement by a few years and would not resolve ongoing rot and wear issues.
  • Front sidewalk repair: Currently affected by sinking concrete and represents a present safety concern. A short-term repair may be possible but would be temporary.

These are safety-related needs, not cosmetic upgrades.

4. Long-Term Home Improvements

These projects would significantly improve accessibility, sustainability, and long-term livability:

  • Window repair or replacement (currently exploring repair options)
  • Front entry redesign for safety and accessibility (including ramp considerations)
  • Driveway and front exterior improvements
  • Landscaping simplification and durable edging replacement

These are being evaluated and phased over time as resources allow.

A Note On Approach

We are trying to make thoughtful, staged decisions—balancing urgent safety needs with longer-term sustainability. Some repairs may be temporary by necessity; others require full replacement to avoid repeating cycles of decline.

We continue to hold all of this with gratitude, wisdom, and trust in God’s provision.

Thank you for walking alongside our family in this season. Your presence—prayer, encouragement, meals, time, and generosity—mean more than we can fully express.
