On top of your gift, not out of it
Moving money costs money. Every card payment carries a processing fee, and somebody has to pay it. On GoFundMe®, Spotfund, and GiveSendGo, that fee comes out of the family's side of the gift, and a tip, where offered, goes to the platform.1 The RoundUp works the other way. It is added on top of your gift and covers the fee, so when you add a RoundUp the family receives 100% of the intended gift.
