Hello family and friends,
We're reaching out to ask for your love, prayers, and support for our dear friend and family member, Rick Ogles. Rick is a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful pastor who has dedicated his life to serving others. Now, he is facing one of the biggest challenges of his own life. Rick has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and has begun the process of being evaluated for a heart transplant. As he walks this difficult road, he must wear a wearable defibrillator vest to protect him from life-threatening heart rhythms while his medical team determines the next steps.
In addition to the emotional and physical challenges, Rick and his family are facing a significant financial burden. Because he was underinsured when this journey began, they have already incurred substantial medical expenses from his initial hospitalization and the care he has received so far. While new insurance coverage is set to begin soon, many of those expenses remain, and additional medical costs are expected throughout the transplant evaluation and treatment process. The family is also facing travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses as loved ones stay by Rick's side during hospital stays and appointments.
