We have received an update. 

Rick is home and continues testing for a heart transplant or an LVAD (Left Ventricular Assist Device) machine. 

Rick is starting to have PVCs (premature ventricular contractions), which is causing his heart go out of rhythm more. There is a pause is the process of a heart transplant as, Rick’s left side of his heart is shutting down, however the right side of the heart is good. This leads to a harder approval for a heart transplant. 

He is scheduled for an ablation of his heart in September, which is expected to help or eliminate the PVC’s.

Although, these adjustments are happening with testing and surgery. They have also found a lesion on the liver. They have further testing for the lesion in November and then will have an answer to move forward. 

With doctor’s visits, travel, hospital stays, and added expenses, The family is in need of some assistance.
