Marigold Ivy Halseth was born at just 25 weeks in September of 2023 and spent three and a half months in the NICU. Though she miraculously avoided brain bleeds, she was later diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and dystonia shortly before her second birthday.
At two years old, Marigold is unable to lift her head, use her hands, or hold toys or bottles. She is still working toward milestones like rolling, crawling, and sitting independently. Even with these challenges, she is a joyful, bright little girl—deeply aware of the people around her and clearly motivated to move and explore.
While she receives some traditional therapy through the state, the therapies that have made the greatest impact on her progress are DMI intensives and Movement Lessons with Michelle Turner.
DMI intensives cost $1,500 per week, and Movement Lessons cost $3,500 for two weeks.
Because brain plasticity is highest right now, her family is hoping to complete multiple rounds of both therapies over the next year to give her the strongest chance of reaching these essential milestones.
Insurance provides no coverage for these programs. After speaking with an advocate and recognizing the urgency of this moment, Marigold’s family has opened this SupportNow page.
Her parents are profoundly grateful for the love, encouragement, and prayers that have carried them this far. Your support—whether through giving, sharing, or simply checking in—means more than they can express. They invite you to please share this page and follow along, as they will be posting updates here while Marigold continues her journey of growth and hope.
