Meet Lemon 💛
Lemon survived a traumatic birth injury caused by medical negligence in May 2021. As a result, she lives with severe Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cortical visual impairment (CVI), and hydrocephalus requiring a shunt. She uses a wheelchair for mobility and an eye-gaze AAC device to communicate with the world around her.
Despite the many challenges she faces every day, Lemon is so much more than her diagnoses. She is deeply loved by her mom and dad, who have dedicated their lives to helping her thrive, experience joy, and live as comfortably as possible.
Over the years, we have explored every available option to help ease her discomfort and improve her quality of life. While some treatments have helped, they simply haven’t been enough. Our next hope is stem cell therapy—a promising opportunity that we pray may help Lemon find greater comfort, function, and freedom in her body.
We created this page not only to help us pursue this next step in Lemon’s journey, but also to give family, friends, and supporters a place to follow along. This is where we’ll share updates, celebrate victories big and small, document her progress, and keep everyone informed about what’s happening in her world.
Thank you for cheering Lemon on, keeping her in your thoughts, and being part of her journey. Every message of encouragement, share, prayer, and act of support means more than we can express.
With love,
Mom & Dad
