In Support of The Brave Four Responder Relief

The Brave Four Responder Relief
Support Our Kingsport & Sullivan County Heroes After I-26 Crash
Our community was deeply shaken when three Kingsport Firefighters and one Sullivan County EMS worker were struck by a vehicle while working the scene of an accident on Interstate 26. Zach Knutson, Gene Lady, Ryan Mumpower and Billy Triplett were injured in the event.

We are incredibly grateful to share that all four first responders are now out of the hospital and recovering at home. However, their journey is far from over.

Because they are currently injured and unable to work, they are not receiving their full salaries. Despite their reduced income, their regular household bills and medical expenses continue to pile up. This leaves these families with an unexpected financial burden.

These individuals rushed toward danger to protect us, and now they need our community to step up for them. We want to ensure that financial stress is the last thing on their minds during their recovery.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every single dollar raised through this Support Now page will be placed into The Brave Four Responder Relief Fund, split equally four ways (25% directly to each first responder). Your donation will go toward offsetting their reduced income, helping them cover basic living expenses, household bills, and ongoing recovery costs.
