*update - My Mom is scheduled to have radical surgery on May 30th very early in the morning. Also understanding there will be more treatment following the surgery. 

Hello to all our dear friends and family. This is my Momma! My parents have been married for 45 years. They have stuck together  through thick and thin and everything in between. 
Several weeks ago she told us that she had found a lump in her chest. She went to her primary care physician and was sent immediately to begin scans and x-rays to see the nature of this Mass. 
It was determined at that time that she should have a biopsy. That was completed two weeks ago. 
(You can imagine the whirlwind of information and appointments that we have had in the last 2 weeks.)

The short story is: My wonderful Momma has breast cancer. 
They have categorized it as a very invasive and aggressive cancer. (Their words) 
We are looking at treatment, directly. They are taking an aggressive stance towards this because it is an aggressive cancer. 

* She does not have insurance or any type of medical coverage. My parents are having to pay out of pocket for any and all tests, procedures, treatment, and surgeries. Because of all the tests she's had already, this has put a massive strain on them financially. My Dad will be needing to purchase several things for her in preparation for her arriving at home after the surgery is completed. The funds to do so are currently not there, but we are trusting the Lord to provide for each and every thing needed. 

We ask you to pray for her like you were in this same situation and asking for prayer!

Starr LaNette Jones Tharp is the absolute finest woman and best Christian that I've ever known. She has followed me around this country as my wife and a servant of the most high God. She absolutely amazes me in her Christianity and care for others. 
She is the mother of three full-time Christian servants of God. And the Moomoo of 14 (20, including 6 sweet babies in Heaven) precious grandchildren. 
She is a pastor's wife a young girls Sunday school teacher and a blessing to anyone and everyone that she comes in contact with. Her quiet, demure nature is often seen as shyness, but it is absolutely not. It is her wonderful nature that God sees, honours and takes notice of! And other women and young women should as well. (That's just me speaking haha)

Her beloved family and church family are all advised of this situation so we thought we would put it out to you dear folks and friends to pray for her now, as well. 
May I thank you in advance for your kind words and prayers. We have every confidence in our God! We are not trusting medicine or the medical community for our help in this matter. 
Job, of old said... "THOUGH HE SLAY ME, YET WILL I TRUST HIM."
And we concur with that way of thinking.
Our hope is in the Lord.
