River's Journey
Before River was even born, we learned she had Aicardi Syndrome and significant brain malformations. While the diagnosis brought many unknowns, River has continued to show us what determination, strength, and resilience look like every single day.
Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to give River access to therapies that help her reach her fullest potential. One of the most impactful resources has been intensive therapy with Dr. Crawford at NeuroSolutions. The progress we've seen through these treatments has been nothing short of incredible. Each week-long intensive costs approximately $10,000 and is not covered by insurance. Our next intensive is scheduled for the end of September, and we are working to raise the funds needed to make it possible.
In addition to NeuroSolutions, River participates in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy through a local clinic in Oklahoma. DMI has helped her build strength, improve movement patterns, and continue making meaningful gains. These therapy blocks cost approximately $3,500 per month, and we typically attend three intensive sessions each year.
As you can imagine, the costs of these life-changing therapies add up quickly. Yet when we see the progress River makes, it's hard to put a price tag on the opportunities they create for her future.
