Abby was so helpful and proactive with helping us decide which funding route was best for our family at this time. She was thoughtful, caring, and truly an advocate.

Every star counts
All time1,599 people rated 3 stars or below. Their comments shaped the two explainers further down.

Collected in the moment
After someone gives, follows a page, signs up to help, posts an update, or requests a payout, SupportNow asks one question: rate your experience. One tap saves the stars, and a comment is optional.
Counted in full
Every star, 1 through 5, is in the average, the daily chart, and the split above. Nothing is filtered out of the numbers, and they refresh every 10 minutes.
Published by hand
A person reads every written comment. We publish the ones about SupportNow, including critical ones, with the reviewer's first name. We leave out notes meant for a family, anything with personal details, and spam.
Four things that come up again and again
We grouped the published reviews by what they talk about. Each card shows how many mention it and the newest few that do.
It was easy, on a hard day
The word that comes up more than any other is "easy". People arrive stressed, distracted, and often on a phone, and they finish anyway.
136 published reviews mention thisThank you for not only for providing us with this "easy to use" platform, but for helping me through it.

Meals, to-dos, volunteers, and updates sit beside the fundraiser, so one link answers "how can I help?"
22 published reviews mention thisOnce I got the hang of the navigating the site it was a breeze. Easy set up, easy updates, easy tracking. I enjoyed my use of the site.
Shane · after requesting a payoutIt was hard to sign up for a single service, like meal delivery. I had to opt out of many options, but once I did that, the calendar and supportive statements were helpful and easy to use.
Anne · platform reviewThis platform has been amazing to get support when I absolutely needed it! Donations, support, updates— all in one location!
Holli · after posting an updateA real person helps
Families name the people who picked up the phone, walked them through setup, and stayed in touch.
29 published reviews mention thisI loved talking with Abby; it is clear that she knows exactly what she is doing and provides you with the tools—in our case—to realize that there are ways to help our son with Duchenne get his new power wheelchair. Thank you very much.
Patricia · platform reviewThis is a great support system and they stay with you every step of the way

Most lower ratings come down to the same two moments. Here is what people say, what is actually happening, and what to do.
I think the area of roundup needs to be explained more clearly

The RoundUp at checkout
What is actually happening
When you give, SupportNow suggests a RoundUp: a small, optional amount added on top of your gift. It covers the card processing fee and it keeps the meals calendar, the to-do list, updates, and a support team free for the family. That is why it is larger than the 2.7% card fee alone, and why the family receives 100% of your intended gift when you add one.
What to do
- Before you press Pay Now, the RoundUp is listed as its own line with its dollar amount. Tap What is this? beside it to read why it is there, and to remove it. Larger gifts can reduce it instead.
- If you remove it, your gift still goes through. A 2.7% processing fee comes out of that one gift, and the family is never charged a platform fee.
- The family sees your gift in full either way. The RoundUp is between you and SupportNow.
We read every one of these comments, and this step keeps changing because of them.
How the RoundUp worksWell yes , this process needs to be faster due to when people use this method it’s because of life circumstances and emergency situations and when the donations are given , the access to it should be faster so that people can take care of their business as soon as possible needed without having to wait 2 to 3 days , seems to be a good site just a little bit slower than need be.

I wish we could withdraw to our bank more than twice a month.

Getting the money to the family
What is actually happening
Gifts are held by Stripe until the family requests a payout. Before the first payout, Stripe verifies the person receiving the money, which is what keeps a Support Page from being hijacked. It is also the step that can feel like paperwork at the worst possible time.
What to expect
- Request a payout any time from your dashboard. A standard payout is sent within 1 business day, and your bank usually posts it 1 to 3 business days after that.
- The first 2 payouts each month are free. Extra payouts in the same month carry a 2% fee, and an expedited payout, sent within a business hour, carries 2%.
- Stuck on verification? Call, text, or chat and a person will walk you through it.

We had a great experience using Support Now. Jordan was willing to talk us through the process and available for any questions and concerns. We did find it a little difficult navigating the website and we think the transfer of payment could have been a little smoother, however, we would highly recommend using Support Now. We managed to reach our goal and that’s what’s most important. We are very grateful to Support Now for that.
Support Now has truly been such a blessing for our family. As a mom of a child with complex needs, fundraising can feel overwhelming and hard to even know where to start. Support Now made it simple, organized, and gave us a clear way to share our story and connect with people who want to help. We’re currently raising funds for a service dog for my daughter, and having one place to direct people has made a huge difference. What I love most is that it’s designed with families in mind — especially those who are already carrying so much. Because of our experience, I’ve also started helping other families get their pages set up, and I confidently recommend Support Now to anyone navigating medical needs, disabilities, or unexpected challenges. I genuinely believe this is a resource more families should know about.
SupportNow has been a soft place to land in the chaos of caregiving and grief. So many people ask "how can I help," and actually listing out options is cumbersome within "grief brain" and the fog of managing life. Friends were able to look into our life, pull together a list, and populate options to support our family in the hardest of seasons. The site surpasses any on the market in flexibility, care and detail. 10/10 must have for those long roads of uncertainty. Thank you, SupportNow!
There are moments in life that break you in ways you never saw coming. The kind that take your breath away, shake your faith, and leave you wondering how you’re supposed to keep going for your family when everything feels like it’s falling apart. That was our reality. And sometimes, it still is. When our family was walking through one of the hardest seasons of our lives, SupportNow stepped in in a way that didn’t feel like a service. It felt like someone truly seeing us. Not just our situation, but the weight we were carrying, the exhaustion, the fear, the constant unknown. I received so many “how can I help you?” texts. And even though I had a laundry list of needs buried in my mind, I didn’t know how to verbalize them or even ask. That was my weakness. When you’re in crisis, even the smallest things feel impossible. Meals. Support. Coordination. The day to day life that doesn’t stop just because your world did. Having a platform that could step in and fill those gaps… there truly are no words. And that matters more than anything. You never know when you may be put in a situation where you need help. But if you ever are, SupportNow is the one.
I needed a platform that gave the most back to my daughter’s fundraising efforts and that is SupportNow. The system fee is the lowest, the blog feature has been amazing to share with followers and one day when treatment starts we will likely use the meal support function. Thankful that Advocacy Abby shared this amazing asset to support our journey.
SupportNow is a great platform to rally people to your cause. It's easy to use and the support team answers your questions in a timely manner.
I was directed to Support Now through the company from whom I was ordering a very pricey tandem electric bike for my son with special needs. I reached out and immediately received a response from them. Literally within a day I had a meeting scheduled and was excited with the support I needed. My meeting with Abby was productive and her efficiency in getting things done was so refreshing. By the end of the meeting Marco's Support Now page was up and running and I had several leads to follow. Abby helped me feel comfortable with need to crowdsource to reach our goal and she was absolutely right! We reached our goal by the date we had hoped! The other thing that I love about Support Now is that I have never been inundated with communications from them. What I wanted and needed is what I got! Communication was direct, pertinent to my needs and supportive. I have actually directed a few people to this amazing organization already and will continue to do so. The knowledge they possess is incredible and helped me turn an incredibly daunting fundraising task into a resounding success.
SupportNow is not only a support registry in times of need or crisis, but it also is exactly what the name says, support here and now for whatever you need. Grants, fundraising, support from Abby on therapist intensive centers treatment and more! Very thankful for you all!
I’ve now used SupportNow for my son’s Spina Bifida (SB) journey and my best friends breast cancer journey. It’s so nice to have a place to have all support listed and the team is so easy to reach when I haven’t been able to figure things out. We are grateful for the help and continued support needed on our SB journey. Without this we wouldn’t be able to give our son the much needed PT he needs across the country. I’ve shared SupportNow with so many people and will continue to share.
I really appreciate the fact that SupportNow gives caregivers the ability to have everything on the same site. It is so flexible that we are able to list needs and provide updates all from one place. When I first set up the page for the family, it took me about 10 minutes to get all of the information updated! Also, support is excellent. Since it is very intuitive I have had very few questions, but if I do every issue is resolved quickly. I highly recommend SupportNow!
Support Now is a far superior platform to get support for family, friends, or community in times of crisis. You get 1:1 support, you get to keep 100% of $$$ raised for your cause, and you get to choose exactly what support you need, now. It is safe and secure. I HIGHLY recommend Support Now for rallying your people to you in times of need. You deserve care, and this is a great place to start.
SupportNow provided light at the end of a dark tunnel for our family. When my adult son was diagnosed with a serious fatal disease a friend told us about SupportNow. We were able to start a SupportNow page to rally our friends and family to support our son for much needed financial assistance for treatment and equipment he will need as his disease progresses. They also provided resources for organizations who offer grants and other services that will be needed for my son. There are no words adequate enough to thank them for their assistance.
Supportnow is amazing at helping make sure families in need get access to the donations they receive so quickly. I didn't use it but I love the option of reoccurring donations!
We have had an amazing experience! Thanks for supporting us during such a challenging time!
SupportNow is an incredible resource. The platform is user friendly, and the team goes above and beyond to provide encouragement and support. They have made sharing our son’s story and raising funds for his care a seamless, positive experience.
I had a fantastic experience using SupportNow to bring my hometown dance community together after the sudden loss of one of our beloved teachers. We set up a scholarship fund to honor her legacy and fund future dancer's ballet education, and also used the page to post fond memories of our time with her. The SupportNow team was so helpful and communicative in the process, going above and beyond what you'd receive on another fundraising platform.
We are still far away from our goal but it definitely helped us out and we really appreciate it we love the way it's laid out and easy to navigate
As a neighbor, friend, family member or community acquaintance, every mom should know about SupportNow. They have everything in one place needed to support another family in ONE platform (meals, kid help scheduling, donations, etc) and makes organizing things so much easier! It is easy to feel helpless in tragic situations but SupportNow provides a way to put helplessness to action.
SupportNow was an incredible resource for our family during our child's childhood cancer journey. I loved that I was able to provide family and friends with updates along with the ability to ask for help in ways more than financially. It truly takes a village when going through something so difficult and SupportNow made it so much easier to receive the help we needed. You might not think you will ever need a resource like this (just like I never imagined having a child with cancer), but it is an important resource to keep in your back packet should you or someone close to you go through a challenging time.
When your child has complex medical needs, life can shift overnight. Between hospital stays, appointments, therapies, and the day-to-day care your child needs, it can become incredibly challenging to manage everything else. During this season for our family, SupportNow has become a way for our community to truly show up for us. One of the biggest ways SupportNow helps our family is through financial support. Medical life comes with so many unexpected costs, and the generosity of our community helps ease some of that burden in a very real way. But just as meaningful is the emotional support. Being able to write updates and share what is happening allows us to keep our village informed without having to repeat difficult conversations over and over. The encouragement, prayers, and messages we receive remind us that we aren’t walking through this alone. We also love the features that allow people to sign up to help with meals, errands, and tasks around the house. When you’re focused on caring for your child, those everyday things can quickly become overwhelming, and SupportNow makes it easy for people to step in and help in practical ways. For medical moms and families navigating complex diagnoses, SupportNow helps bridge the gap between a community that wants to help and the real needs families are carrying every day. It gave our village a way to show up and that support means more than we can put into words.
I don’t know why anyone would use anything else. You keep more money. The support team is super responsive and I love that I can blog to keep my community informed.
SupportNow played a huge part in our survival through all of son’s adventures. Their platform serves many purposes- communication, coordination, financial support, meal dropoff, prayer volunteers, etc... The platform is very customizable and allowed us to post needs specific to our family. Everyone’s needs look different during a time of crisis and this customizable feature helped support us in ways we needed even realize we needed. Even a year later, I’m thankful to still have this as a resource to help update people on our son’s progress and reflect on old posts to reinforce the progress he's made. If you know someone needing support, whether it be financial or logistical, SupportNow is absolutely what you need.
This is our first experience using the SupportNow website, and it has been truly amazing. The outpouring of love and support from friends and family has been overwhelming in the best possible way. We feel so blessed to have SupportNow and so many others reaching out and lifting us up.
Questions people ask before they trust a review page
Yes. SupportNow is run by SupportFamiliesNow, Inc., founded in 2021, and has been covered by Inc., Forbes, and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Card payments are processed by Stripe, the same processor behind millions of businesses, and SupportNow never sees or stores your card number.
Every rating on this page was left inside SupportNow by a real person right after they gave, followed a page, posted an update, or requested a payout. The numbers above include all of them, including the low ones, and refresh through the day. Over the past year, families kept 99.2% of every intended gift, measured across 200,000+ gifts.
Want to check a specific Support Page? Look for the organizer's name, recent updates, and the people who have already given. If anything looks off, email [email protected] and a person will look into it.
Star ratings come from a one-tap prompt that appears right after an action inside SupportNow, with an optional comment. Longer platform reviews come from the review form we send families and advocates after they have used SupportNow for a while. Nobody is paid or rewarded for a review.
The numbers never leave anything out: every star, 1 through 5, is in the average, the daily chart, and the star split.
Written reviews are published by hand. We publish comments that are about SupportNow, including critical ones, and we leave out notes meant for a family, anything with personal details, and spam. The two things people most often find confusing are answered above rather than hidden.
At checkout, a supporter can add a RoundUp, a small optional amount on top of their gift. It covers the card processing fee and keeps every tool on the page free, so the family receives 100% of the intended gift. If a supporter skips it, a 2.7% processing fee comes out of that one gift. There is no platform fee, subscription, or paid tier for families.
SupportNow also has reviews on Trustpilot, and you can read press coverage on our press page. If you have used SupportNow, you will see "Rate your experience" after your next gift, update, or payout, and we would love to hear from you.
