If you're familiar with the Frigerio family, you know they cherish their son, Owen, whose radiant spirit lights up every room. Owen lives with Cerebral Palsy and relies on his wheelchair, Tobii eye gaze device, and suction machine around the clock. To ensure his well-being and ease of daily caregiving, it's essential for Owen to remain in his wheelchair during transportation.
We're uniting as a community to assist the Frigerios in acquiring a wheelchair-accessible vehicle. These specialized vehicles often come with significant costs. For instance, converting an existing vehicle can range from $10,000 to $35,000, depending on the modifications required. Alternatively, purchasing a new wheelchair-accessible vehicle can cost between $40,000 and $100,000, factoring in both the base vehicle and necessary adaptations.
