Meet Merida the Brave! 💖
Merida is a bright, kind, and energetic 10-year-old who lights up every room she enters. Her joy and spirit are contagious, and anyone who knows her can’t help but smile.
Merida was born with Arthrogryposis (AMC), a condition that affects her joints and muscles, making her joints stiff and movement more challenging. While it doesn’t get worse over time, it impacts her ability to walk independently.
Merida’s family is determined to give her the chance to experience the world from eye level with her peers. With a Trexo robotic walking device, Rifton walker, and treadmill for indoor use, Merida can gain freedom to walk, improve physical health, hip mobility, and circulation, and enjoy all the small joys that walking brings—even during cold weather! ❄️
This is no small feat. The Trexo device, Rifton walker, and treadmill together cost approximately 52,000 CAD and are not covered by insurance.
Merida’s parents, Mom (Kat) and Dad (Clay), are excited to share this journey with friends, family, and supporters—so you can cheer her on, follow her progress, and help make this dream a reality. Mom will be posting updates here, so please follow, support, and share!
This platform collects in USD but allows more money to stay with the family, and every dollar raised will go directly to Trexo on Merida’s behalf.
