Help Matt Heal and Move Forward
On February 7th, 2025, Matt’s life changed in an instant. A motocross accident left him with a T5 spinal cord injury, paralyzing him from the chest down. Since then, every day has been filled with determination, therapy, and hope — all with one goal in mind: to move again, to live fully again, and to be right beside his family doing what he loves.
After months of hard work in rehab and physical therapy, Matt received incredible news — he’s been approved for stem cell treatment through BioXcellerator. This specialized therapy uses donated placental and umbilical cord stem cells, which have shown potential to help regenerate and repair areas of injury. The process involves traveling to Medellín, Colombia every few months for direct spinal injections and IV treatments designed to promote healing and nerve recovery.
This opportunity gives real hope for progress, but it comes with a heavy cost. The total cost for the treatment ranges from $75,000- $105,000, and stem cell therapy is not covered by insurance. The best outcomes occur within the first year after injury, so time is critical.
Matt and Jenn are working closely with an advocate to identify grants and other resources to help with costs like these. The world of disability can be incredibly expensive, but they are determined to keep pushing forward — one step, one wheel, one goal at a time.
The family has also moved their fundraising efforts to SupportNow because it allows more of each donation — up to 100% — to stay directly with them. Every contribution, share, and prayer helps bring Matt closer to the chance of healing and freedom.
Thank you for standing with the Lunt family and helping Matt move toward recovery, independence, and a full life once again.
