Our beloved Lindsay Joy Elkins-Taylor recently learned that she has invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. Being under 40 and with no family history, this diagnosis has come as quite a shock! It's not an easy thing for Lindsay to ask for help. Anyone who knows her knows she is a person who always shows up for other people. It’s our turn to show up for her. Even now, her worries are about how everyone else is feeling. We are honored, not burdened, to help her fight and beat this cancer. Even though the cancer has progressed more than we'd like, her prognosis is good, and we know she will win this battle!

Lindsay will begin her extensive treatment this month. Even though we hope that much of her treatment will be covered through her health insurance, so many of the other drugs used to treat the effects of chemo and support the body through treatment are not covered. Nor are the countless other expenses when your life gets upended by this diagnosis. Co-pays, travel expenses, homeopathic remedies to support her overall health, and special dietary needs are all adding up. To improve her treatment journey, Lindsay is seeking the help of specialists and therapies, which also cost a lot of money.

Lindsay and her husband Brandon deserve the chance to focus their energy on fighting cancer and not having to worry about the financial side of this journey. We're reaching out to family and friends who love them to help support Lindsay and Brandon through this life-changing and difficult time. Her journey will be filled with courage, some tears, but most importantly, love. Your words of encouragement and supportive messages are greatly appreciated.

Every dollar you contribute can help her win this fight. However, please don't feel obligated to send money if it would create a hardship for you. Sharing this registry with others and on your own social platforms is just as helpful. If you prefer to share financial support with Lindsay directly instead of through this fund, her Venmo username is @linzjoytaylor. She has also created this wish list of items to support her through her treatments and surgeries: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/1XXIS31AQWS9Z

Thank you in advance for anything you can contribute to help Lindsay fight and win her battle! We'll post periodic updates on this page for those who are interested in following along on her journey.
