Meet Leighton Smith — a bright and beautiful 2-year-old girl who was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) from a birth injury. Despite these challenges, Leighton’s spirit shines, and her parents, Bri and Nathan, are doing everything in their power to support her development and independence.
They’ve been paying out-of-pocket for specialized therapy sessions with experts like Dana at All Kids Are Perfect, giving Leighton access to some of the best care available. Now, Leighton is reaching a stage in her journey where accessibility is no longer optional — it’s essential.
To safely transport her to therapies, school, and outings, the family urgently needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, which ranges from $50,000–$60,000. In addition, their home requires critical accessibility renovations:
- Lift system to safely carry Leighton upstairs – $20,000
- Bathroom access and home entry modifications
- Widened doorways and additional structural updates – starting at $20,000
These are life-changing needs that no family should face alone. This is where we come in.
