This fund raiser is dedicated to helping a dear friend of mine, Laura Rosenberg, and her two sweet children. Over the past five years, I have watched Laura walk through an ever deepening valley of grief, suffering, and misfortune. It has been heartbreaking to witness, and at the same time I have been awed and encouraged to see Laura’s enduring faith in God, incredible determination, and steadfast love for her children.

As many of you know, Laura is a single mom with two amazing kiddos. Her daughter, who is six-years-old, is a miracle. She is also very medically complex. She continues to experience medical emergencies and require surgeries, she attends multiple therapies and doctor appointments a week, and she needs a high level of care at home. Laura carries the weight of that full-time responsibility (“A joy!” she would say,) while also piecing together multiple part-time jobs while the children are in school.

Simultaneously, for the past three years Laura has been embattled in litigation related to family legal matters. It has been costly, both emotionally and financially. She has incurred significant legal expenses that have left their family of three in financial hardship. These costs were necessary and unavoidable, and are unfortunately ongoing.

Related to that, the Rosenbergs are facing losing their home and potentially needing to secure alternate housing. Laura has been laboring to avoid that, as their cul-de-sac neighbors and the children’s schools have been an incredible source of support, friendship, and safety.

I count it a privilege to rally support for her and to funnel my own desire to change this precious family’s circumstance into this fund raiser. Let’s DO something.

Our goals is $150,000 to pay legal debts, cover continuing legal costs, and to secure housing for the family.

I know that if we band together we will make a huge difference. Let us stand with Laura and her kiddos. Let’s give them a new start. Let’s continue to pray for justice, safety, and peace. May God bring them out of the darkness to a place of light, rest, and healing. May we, as their friends, family, and community hold them up!
