Killian's Journey to Freedom & Independence 

Hi everyone, my name is Chantel, and I am a single parent raising my amazing 10-year-old son, Killian. Killian has been battling spastic quad cerebral palsy since he was diagnosed at 9 months old, but he is so much more than his diagnosis – he loves to be out in the community, volunteering, and has the brightest smile.
Currently, we are facing a significant challenge: our family needs a wheelchair-accessible van. As Killian grows, it has become physically impossible for me to safely lift him and his motorized wheelchair in and out of our 2015 Toyota Highlander. I have my own health issues which make this task increasingly dangerous for both of us. We are currently using a difficult-to-manage hitch mount carrier attached to the rear of the Highlander, and simple family trips are becoming increasingly rare.
An accessible van with a ramp would be life-changing. It wouldn't just be a vehicle; it would be a ticket to independence, allowing Killian to safely join us for family outings, volunteer at the animal shelter, and just be a kid.
We are hoping to raise $40,000 to cover the cost of the van and necessary modifications. Every dollar brings us one step closer to making this dream a reality.
