Hello everyone and happy June!! The van modification process with the state is slow as a turtle!! We just passed the first step, but will keep updating. By the way, the van is amazing and we are enjoying every drive. I am forever thankful for each and every donation that went towards the purchase each and every time I get in the drivers seat <3

Next and main news:

🚨 URGENT ACTION NEEDED FOR KILLIAN'S LAW (A6569-B) 🚨

Last night, the Senate unanimously passed the companion bill to Killian's Law.

Now we need the Assembly to act.

I am asking everyone who supports disability rights, wheelchair users, and access to essential mobility equipment to contact Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes and respectfully ask her to:

✅ Discharge A6569-B from the Consumer Affairs and Protection Committee
✅ Change its reference to Rules
✅ Place it on a Rules agenda
✅ Move it to the Assembly floor for a vote THIS WEEK

Killian's Law is named for my 10-year-old son. This bill would help ensure that wheelchair users are not left waiting for critical repairs because of restricted access to parts, tools, and repair information.

For people who depend on wheelchairs, delayed repairs can mean missed school, missed work, missed medical appointments, and loss of independence.

Please take a few minutes today to email Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes and respectfully ask her to move A6569-B forward.

Please share this post. Every email helps.

As always thank you all for your continued support and please share with fellow New York citizens!
