At just 3 years old, Kaysen faces challenges that most of us can hardly imagine. He has severe HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy), Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), severe separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, seizures, and is G-tube dependent.
Despite these challenges, Kaysen's parents, Emma and Marc, are doing everything they can to help him live a happier, safer, and more comfortable life. Their current goal is to bring a specially trained service dog into Kaysen's world.
For Kaysen, a service dog would be far more than a companion. It would provide comfort during moments of overwhelming anxiety, help regulate his sensory system, offer support during seizures, and provide a calming presence that allows him to engage more fully in everyday life. The impact would extend beyond Kaysen, bringing greater peace of mind and support to his entire family.
Unfortunately, while service dogs can be life-changing for children with disabilities, they are not covered by insurance. The cost to obtain and train a service dog for Kaysen is approximately $25,000.
We believe this incredible partnership could make a lasting difference in Kaysen's life, and we're asking our community to come together to help make it possible.
