Hello! My name is Barbara Jo Bliss, and I’m a close family friend to Jenifer King Brennan. I’m organizing this fundraiser and coordinating volunteer support sign-up to help Jen through a very difficult time. I pray that those who see this message will come together to pray for and support this very special person. Jen has spent nearly 40 years serving as a paramedic, helping provide medical care to others in their times of greatest need.
Late April, Jenifer suffered a sudden hemorrhagic stroke while at work, that changed life in an instant. Over the past six weeks, she has been through a whirlwind of hospital stays, neurosurgery, therapy, and countless challenges. She has lost her sight and is now unable to work, drive, or perform most of her daily living activities. And, she is facing a second brain surgery next month.
We are working through the process of applying for various federal and state assistance programs. But, as you can imagine, the financial strain continues to grow. Medical bills, recovery, and living expenses are piling up. One of the biggest concerns is that Jen may lose her home at the very time she needs stability and the most support during this critical stage of healing. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden, allowing Jen to complete her next surgery and continue her recovery safely at home.
