In Support of Jenevieve’s Journey

Sweet Jenevieve is our middle daughter, who was born 9 weeks early back in 2021, she was in the NICU for 31 days, came home and struggled for a solid 5 months. After that things started to settle at home, when we noticed she was more delayed than a typical baby. We gave it time, and prayed and hoped for changes. At 11 months she finally rolled over, and at 1 yr we were referred to Neurology to see if may something more was going on.
In April 2022, Jenevieve was officially diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, Severe PVL (periventricular leukomalacia- brain damage) and told she would never talk, never walk and would most likely need a G-tube.
She is now 4.5 yrs old, she talks up a storm and she eats real food! We are 2/3 and we can't wait to see her physically start to be more independent as well.

In Jan of 2023 I started a side hustle, reselling to make money for her medical needs beyond insurance. We weren't seeing much change with the therapies insurance was covering and upon further research found that therapy such as ABM (Anat Baniel Method), Red Laser Therapy, Functional Neurology, Stem Cell therapies, and DMI (Dynamic Movement intensives), were the ways to go and were way more effective then just throwing her immediately into braces, wheelchairs and equipment. We learned about neuroplasticity, motor mapping and re-wiring the brain to "wake up".

She did her first ABM Intensive in June 2022, within 2 days she was army crawling. From there we KNEW that we needed to stay on this route. She has now done 6 DMI intensives and even more ABM, she was doing weekly therapy at KinActive Kids in Southlake which is a national sought after therapy local to us, but is also cash based. When I started my side hustle for her , it was super successful. I was able to stay afloat doing her cash based therapies with monthly reselling fundraisers, live auctions through Poshmark, curtsy, depop and ebay sales and selling to local buy and sell shops. This allowed us to pay for braces, cash based therapies, deductibles, braces and more.

Currently, as of November 2025 with a new baby boy added to the family 4months ago, our monthly fundraisers and side hustle reselling business has been halted (temporarily), which has paused a lot of the needed therapies for our miracle girl. She is getting OT/PT at school a few times a month but it is not enough, and we are seeing some regressions.

We have mapped out a 6 month goal of therapies that we need support with while we transition to a family of 7, look for some grants to help support her needs, and restart the side business.

Only December is currently scheduled on the books, due to finances. As we raise the funds we will book the other sessions accordingly.
