🌟 Colbie Gibson 💜🦓

Following the Gibson Family’s Journey with CRELD1 Epilepsy

At just 8 months old, sweet Colbie became number 19. She was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic condition, called CRELD1 that now has ~30 children in the group worldwide.

This condition causes her to have 4 types of severe, difficult-to-control seizures, developmental delays, feeding challenges, hypotonia, CVI, and dystonia. Because there’s very little research and NO treatment, her family must seek specialized care across the country.

Colbie was the first CRELD1 child to bravely undergo a Corpus Callosotomy brain surgery, just one month ago to reduce 2 of her 4 seizure types. Recovery will be a long climb and require multiple therapy intensives to give her the best chance to thrive.

Ashley (Colbie’s mom) will post updates here as they move through this journey. Your support — whether through prayer, donations, sharing, or encouragement — will help lift a huge weight off the Gibson family.
