Following the Gibson Family’s Journey with CRELD-1 Epilepsy
At just 22 months old, sweet Colbie Gibson is navigating an extremely rare genetic condition causing epilepsy called CRELD1.
This condition causes her to have severe, difficult-to-control seizures and developmental challenges. Because there’s very little research or standard treatment, her family must seek specialized care across the country.

Colbie will soon undergo a corpus callosotomy surgery to help reduce her seizures. Recovery will be long and will require multiple therapy intensives to give her the best chance to thrive.
Ashley (Colbie’s mom) will post updates here as they move through this journey. Your support — whether through donations, sharing, or encouragement — will help lift a huge weight off the Gibson family.
