Atom has been fighting cancer since November 2023. At just 14, he has endured limb-saving surgery, an expandable bone prosthetic, months of chemo, and now faces tumors that have spread to his lungs and near his spine. Despite radiation and chemo pills, the cancer continues to grow.

I’m fighting to get him a test called Exacta by Datar Genetics — the most comprehensive liquid biopsy available. It analyzes millions of data points to create a personalized treatment roadmap for Atom’s unique cancer. This test could pinpoint the therapies most likely to help him, instead of us continuing to guess.

But here’s the challenge: Exacta is only offered in Europe and India, costs nearly $8,000, and requires additional fees for a physician and lab work. Insurance will not cover it.

We recently learned there may be a new tumor. Scans are scheduled for the end of October, and time is running out. I refuse to accept the doctors’ prediction of only 5 months. Atom deserves more.
