Our daughter, Camila, has faced complex medical challenges from early on.
Camila is followed by multiple specialists, including a Pediatric Gastroenterologists, Immunologist, Neurologist, Physiatrist, Neurosurgeon, General Surgeon, Neuro-Developmental Optometrist, Neuromuscular Neurologist, and Movement Disorder Neurologist. Each specialist is working to identify and treat both the root cause and symptoms of her complex needs. Camila has undergone extensive testing, as her doctors suspect she may have a rare genetic disorder. The process of diagnostic clarification is ongoing.
Navigating this journey has been overwhelming and, at times, isolating. Our days are filled with medical appointments, therapy sessions, and constant care coordination as we work to support Camila’s health and comfort.
