UPDATE: With the help of my "DIY Dad" we're gonna try and tackle this ourselves. I've lowered the fundraising goal significantly, and that will go towards materials and paying laborers, and anything leftover will go towards the actual plumbing fix which will be much cheaper now that we're digging up the line ourselves. "Sweat equity" as he calls it. I am beyond grateful for the support I've received so far. Hopefully this issue is resolved sooner than I initially thought! 

Hi friends and friends of friends, it's been a hell of a year. I've had a lot of expensive problems pop up, and I've done my best to either solve or delay them, but the biggest one is finally rearing it's nasty head.
When I bought my house, I was unaware that the company who did the renovations stopped with the pipe replacement before meeting the city line. This means I've had roots growing into old clay pipes for over a year now, and the problem has escalated to what will soon become a health hazard, and has already rendered my showers unusable. Unfortunately this is a very costly fix, and I can't get approved for financing as I'm still working to recover my credit score from big hits earlier in the year, and I don't qualify for city funding, even though it's a serious health risk.
As opposed to taking predatory loans, I'm reaching out to my community, and their respective communities, in the hopes that you can spare a little to help me fix my home. Every dollar counts, and if you can't contribute, please consider sharing.
