Hi family and friends!

We are reaching out today with humble hearts to ask for assistance during a very difficult and unexpected transition. Due to a sudden emergency with a previous roommate, we unexpectedly lost our housing through no fault of our own. Currently, my boyfriend, our elderly emotional support dog, and I are staying in a hotel. While we are both working, the cost of the room is consuming our entire income. We can't save for a deposit or more permanent housing. My boyfriend has been sober and clean for seven years, and we are trying to maintain our stability, but we are reaching a breaking point as our funds are nearly exhausted. My income was also cut after my car was stolen, affecting my delivery work. We have applied for housing assistance and used local resources, but those options are exhausted.

We are looking for any leads on more affordable short-term housing, assistance with a few nights of our current stay to allow us to save, or information on programs that specifically help people transition from hotels into stable housing. We are incredibly grateful for any kindness, advice, or resources you can share. It is our full intention to pay this forward and help others in similar situations as soon as we are back on our feet.
