We Invite You to Help Lift Up Thurane and His Family

For years, Thurane has faithfully served as a worship minister at Sun City West Christian Church, using his musical talents and spiritual gifts to point people to Jesus. Week after week, he has encouraged hearts, strengthened faith, and reminded countless people that God is worthy of praise— even in life’s most difficult moments.

For the past month, Thurane and his family have been walking through one of those difficult moments themselves. Just a few weeks ago, Thurane suffered a devastating medical crisis when he experienced severe heat stroke and heart attack at the same time. What followed became a fight for his life.

For the past month, he has remained hospitalized, surrounded by an incredible team of doctors, nurses, and the constant prayers of family, friends, and his church family.  During this critical time, Thurane required the support of an ECMO machine—a life-saving treatment that allowed his heart and lungs to rest while his body fought to recover.

By the grace of God, we are celebrating an answer to prayer: Thurane has been removed from the ECMO and moved out of ICU.  While this is a tremendous milestone, his journey is far from over. He now faces weeks of intensive rehabilitation as he works to regain his health, his strength, and return to the life and ministry he loves.

As you can imagine, a medical emergency of this magnitude has placed an enormous financial burden on the family. Hospital expenses, rehabilitation costs, insurance deductibles, lost income, and the countless unexpected expenses that accompany a prolonged hospitalization continue to accumulate.

Today we have an opportunity to love and serve him.

Those who know Thurane know he loves God, loves people, and faithfully serves wherever he was needed.

We are inviting everyone whose life has been blessed by Thurane’s ministry—or who simply wants to help a family in need—to partner with us during this season. Every gift, whether $5, $10, $100, or more, will help relieve the financial burden on Thurane, his wife Renada, and their son Torrey; allowing them to focus on what matters most: healing, recovery, and hope.

If you are unable to give financially, your prayers are just as valuable.
 Please pray for:

• Complete healing and restoration for Thurane.
 • Strength, peace, and endurance for Renada and Torry.
 • Wisdom for his physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation team.
 • Continued evidence of God’s grace throughout this recovery.

The body of Christ is never more beautiful than when it carries one another through life’s hardest seasons.

Thank you for standing beside Thurane and his family with your prayers, your generosity, and your love.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
 — Galatians 6:2
