Hello, family and friends. I can't believe I am here, and I'm hoping and praying for a miracle right now.
My name is Simone. I'm a mother of two young boys — my 6-year-old, who has autism, and my 1-year-old. We are facing an emergency housing situation. In just 5 days, we will have to leave our extended-stay hotel. We moved here because we were displaced from our townhouse and couldn't stay with friends long-term. My oldest needs stability for his autism therapy and school. Moving him suddenly would cause major setbacks. His routine and support system are all in this area, and as a mother, I cannot let that happen.
I recently found remote work and am doing my best to stabilize our situation. We've been approved for a housing voucher, but need temporary housing for the next few months until it is active. The extended stay costs $700 per week, and Id just need a bit longer to figure out how to do this. I am not asking for food or living expenses, I am using local resources for that. We just need help covering this temporary housing cost to keep us off the streets and maintain some stability for my children. I am truly grateful for any support or prayers you can offer.
