In Support of The Southards Family

Hello family and friends,

The Southards Family is facing some really tough times, and they need our help as soon as possible. 

They are three months behind on their mortgage, to the amount of $7623.07 including past due monthly payments, late fees, and default fees, which means they risk losing their home. Village Capital has already placed them in a default status even though they have tried working with the VA as a veteran family and with their mortgage company to come to some repayment agreements through kids mitigation. 

With four kids with two on the spectrum and another baby coming in December, they are in a high-risk pregnancy situation. Mom was recently hospitalized with her second mini stroke in the last three years and testing showed narrowing in blood vessels in the left side of her brain. Through testing, doctors also found Mom has a new antibody that puts the baby at risk for preterm delivery and in need of intrauterine blood transfusions. All while Mom is juggling symptoms caused by her many autoimmune and other high risk health issues. 

Over the holiday weekend, Mom had a bat exposure and needed rabies boosters which are causing additional health issues  through autoimmune flare ups and making it very difficult for her to work and care for her family. 

On top of everything, their washer and dryer are both non functional after over a decade of use with no way to purchase replacements, and they had to repair their only family vehicle that had extensive rear suspension failure and repairs in the amount of $2109. 

Both Dad and Mom have lost wages or missed time at work due to illness, FMLA leave, vehicle repairs taking a week, and hospitalization. 

It's a lot for anyone to handle, and they could really use a helping hand from those who care about them.
