Hi family and friends! We wanted to share an update about our current situation and how you can help.
As many of you know, we are a family with two kids and two dogs. One of us is a teacher, and the other is a disabled former 911 operator and vet assistant. We plan our budget in the fall, when the school year begins and we stick to it!! but this year we've been thrown a curveball. Our landlord increased our rent by $400 per month, in the Spring. This increase was unexpected and pushes us beyond our budget. The house we’ve been renting has seen its rent double in the six and a half years we’ve lived there, despite it being quite an old place. We've been excellent tenants, but it's time to invest in us. The exciting news is that we are under contract to buy a house! We've been preparing for this for years, but we still need some financial help to cover the moving costs and make this dream a reality by our July 31st closing.
