Hi friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
Our family has been hit hard, and we're reaching out in our most desperate moment. Yesterday, someone crashed into our car, and because our insurance had lapsed amid all our struggles, it was impounded. That car was more than just wheels—it was our temporary home while my husband and I worked tirelessly to find stable housing and jobs after a rough stretch.
Right now, our kids are staying temporarily with their grandmother so they have a safe place, but being separated from them is breaking our hearts. We're doing everything we can to stabilize our situation quickly so we can bring our family back together under one roof. My brother has kindly covered a hotel room for the next few days, but after that, we will have nowhere to go—we'll literally be on the streets.
We've poured our energy into applications, interviews, and any work we can find, but this accident knocked us to rock bottom despite all our efforts. We refuse to give up on our kids or our future.
We urgently need a reliable vehicle to:
Get to job opportunities and keep working
Safely store what little we have
Have a place to rest and plan our next steps
Most importantly, rebuild stability so we can reunite with our children and stop this nightmare
Our hope is for a used SUV (under 200,000 miles and under $10,000 total), but we're grateful for anything that runs safely—a sedan, truck, minivan, whatever is possible. If anyone has a vehicle they could offer on payments, trade for handyman services, or any workable arrangement, we would be incredibly thankful and committed to making it right.
My husband is a skilled Handyman (repairs, painting, yard work, basic plumbing/electrical, assembly—whatever needs doing). I'm versatile with admin work, cleaning, organizing, customer service, and more. We're both ready to put in sweat equity to help cover costs or show our gratitude.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward a vehicle plus immediate registration and insurance to get us mobile and out of survival mode. This is our path to getting our family whole again.
