We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Julie Prefontaine, a loving mother to Jack (7), a devoted wife to Korey and a faithful daughter to John (Jack) and Lynn Doering on July 29, 2025.
Many of you have reached out and expressed a genuine desire to help the Prefontaine Family navigate the coming days, weeks, and months ahead. We wanted to create an opportunity for the community to respond during this extremely difficult time. In addition to the emotional toll, there is also the burden of trying to manage the task of daily living as a single parent. We all know Julie is irreplaceable!
In lieu of flowers or food, we ask instead that you consider a donation to help provide for Jack’s education. There was nothing Julie loved more than her son Jack and it was always her goal and mission to provide him with the best opportunities available. Your kindness will support school-related costs, including after-school care, academic endeavors and Jack’s thirst for adventure.
