Dear Friends and Family,
Some people inspire others not because life has been easy, but because of the grace, faith, and generosity they continue to show through extraordinary hardship. Cody and Lauren Herzing are that kind of family.
Over the past several years, Lauren has endured multiple hospitalizations due to a chronic medical condition. Despite navigating ongoing health challenges, she and Cody have remained steadfast in their faith, choosing hope and gratitude even when the road has been incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, the medical expenses have continued to grow, creating a financial burden that has become overwhelming.
Cody owns and operates his own contracting business, often working independently. Because they purchase health insurance through the marketplace, they fall into the difficult position of earning just enough to be ineligible for many forms of financial assistance, while still facing medical bills that are simply unsustainable.
For Cody, serving others has always come before serving himself. He is frequently the first person people call when an emergency arises at their home, and he never hesitates to help. Time and again, he has dropped everything to assist neighbors, friends, and even strangers—often without knowing if he will ever be paid. His generosity and compassion have touched countless lives.
In the midst of these challenges, Cody and Lauren are raising their joyful son, Ryan, while preparing to welcome a baby girl. Their daughter is expected to have significant medical needs after birth, bringing both hope for new life and the anticipation of additional medical care and expenses.
Now is an opportunity for all of us to come alongside a family that has spent so much of their lives caring for others. If you are able, we invite you to help lift some of the financial burden they are carrying. Every donation—large or small—will make a meaningful difference and allow Cody and Lauren to focus on what matters most: Lauren's health, their growing family, and welcoming their daughter into the world.
