Hello Family and Friends.
On Friday, July 3rd, Tim and Jenn Henry were involved in a devastating car accident that changed their lives in an instant.

Jenn suffered severe, life-threatening injuries and spent three days in the ICU at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. She sustained a lacerated kidney that caused internal bleeding, fractures to her pelvis, right hip, right femur, two vertebrae, and two ribs. She underwent surgery on July 6th, and while the surgery was successful, she now faces a long road of healing and rehabilitation. Her next step will be inpatient therapy at Mary Free Bed, where she'll begin the difficult process of regaining her strength and independence.

Anyone who knows Jenn knows she's one of the first people to show up when someone else is in need. Whether it's serving her clients, helping a friend, supporting her community, or cheering on her family. She gives endlessly of herself; now it's our turn to show up for her.

Because Jenn is self-employed, she has no paid sick leave, vacation time, or employer disability benefits. Although insurance will help with many medical expenses, it won't replace the income their family depends on or cover every cost that comes with such a traumatic accident and lengthy recovery. As Jenn focuses on healing, Tim will be balancing work, caring for her, supporting their family, and keeping things together at home.

This fundraiser has been created by friends and family to help ease that burden. Donations will help with lost income, uncovered medical and rehabilitation expenses, transportation, household bills, and the many unexpected costs that come with a recovery like this.

If you're unable to donate, there are many other meaningful ways to help. Sharing this fundraiser is a tremendous blessing. We've also created a Meal Train for Tim and Dax to help lighten the load while Jenn is away at rehabilitation and throughout her recovery at home. Simple meals that are easy to reheat or freeze are especially appreciated, as are gift cards to local restaurants for those busy days when cooking just isn't possible.

One thing especially close to Jenn's heart is their oldest son, who is currently serving in Army Basic Training. His graduation is only weeks away, and despite everything she's facing, she is determined to keep her promise to be there. Prayers for continued healing, strength, and a safe way for her to make that trip would mean the world to the Henry family.

Thank you for surrounding Tim, Jenn, Dax, and Ethan with your love, encouragement, generosity, and prayers. Every donation, meal, shared post, and prayer is a reminder that they are not walking this road alone. Your kindness means more than words can express.

Recovery Update! 7/19/26

First, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every prayer, donation, meal, message, and act of kindness. We have felt so loved and carried through all of this.

I've now been at Mary Free Bed for a  little over a week, and I'm happy to say I'm making progress every day. Recovery is definitely not easy, but it's moving in the right direction.

I'm able to get up now and have started taking little "hop steps" with my walker. I still can't put any weight on my right leg, so I'm hopping with my left while using my arm strength and carefully scooting my right leg along. It may not sound like much, but every little victory is a huge milestone. I've also been practicing getting in and out of a car and working hard every day to get stronger.

Physical and occupational therapy are some of the hardest things I've ever done. There are moments when I want to quit because it hurts so much, but then I think about Ethan pushing through Army boot camp right now. If he can make it through one of the toughest challenges of his life, then I can keep fighting through mine. He's become one of my biggest inspirations.

As if this journey wasn't enough, we also received unexpected news. When Tim was checked out after the accident (he was with me but thankfully wasn't seriously injured), the scans revealed a 9 cm tumor on his left kidney. It turned out to be cancer. The doctors believe it has likely been there for about two years, completely unnoticed.

His surgery is scheduled for August 18, and they plan to remove the entire kidney. Right now, everything points to it being localized, and we're praying that surgery is all he'll need.

As scary and overwhelming as this has been, we can't help but see God's hand in it. Had the accident never happened, there's a very good chance we wouldn't have discovered the cancer until much to late. It's hard to call any part of this a blessing, but we do believe God can bring good even out of the hardest circumstances.

Please continue praying for healing, strength, wisdom for our doctors, and peace for our family as we walk through this together. We truly couldn't do this without all of you. So so so so greatful. xo
