I am setting this page up for my brother and sister in law and their baby boy Weston. He could use all the prayers he could get right now.

On Tuesday October 28th Weston did not want to eat and he was very pale in color. Julie rushed him to the emergency room in Fargo. He was transferred from Essentia NICU to Sanford PICU where he was diagnosed with heart failure. Sanford thought he would be best taken care of by the team at Minnesota Universty children’s hospital. Weston was flown to the children’s hospital on October 29th.

Weston has had many tests done and we have found out that the left ventricle of his heart is much larger than it should be and it is making his heart not beat properly, which has also affected his other organs. The doctors keep telling us he is very very sick and we do not know if he was born like this and him getting a cold brought on these symptoms or if he got an infection from having a cold at such a young age of 4 weeks old.

As of right now he is intubated and on medications that should help his heart. If these meds don’t do the job he may need machines to pump his blood for him and possible heart transplant.

Weston has a long road to recovery ahead of him with a lot of unknowns right now.
