It is with heavy hearts that we share in the passing of Jennifer King, an amazing mother to her two children, Alaina (12) & Joshua (10), devoted wife of Jeremy and faithful daughter of Mimi (Darla Dobbs) on April 18, 2025. Jennifer was the rock of her family, and her love, guidance, and strength will be deeply missed.
Many of you have reached out and have expressed a genuine desire to help the King Family navigate the coming days, weeks, and months. We wanted to create an opportunity for the community to respond during this heartbreaking time.
In addition to the emotional toll, there is also the burden of trying to manage the task of daily living as a single parent. While we are all aware Jennifer is irreplaceable, Jeremy has to strive to find a new normal that accommodates the demands of a blooming career and two bustling children's calendars.
Many of you have asked from far and wide how you may help this cherished Dunwoody Family, and we have heard your sincere offerings. We are aware that you may not live next door and you may not be able to stop by with a piping hot meal or offer a carpool lift. While no amount of money can replace the love and presence of their fierce mother, we would like to provide the chance to contribute in a meaningful way that can truly help the Kings in this new walk of life.
If you are considering a gift for the King family like flowers, food, or treasured keepsakes, we ask instead that you consider a donation here that would provide the Kings with tangible and meaningful love. Any contribution you can make will directly support the ongoing efforts of a single-parent household, caring for two precious angels. Your kindness will support caregiving expenses, including after-school care, transportation assistance, academic and extracurricular endeavors, and other household essentials that Jennifer lovingly and efficiently managed. This will allow Jeremy to focus on his care for Alaina and Joshua while giving them the stability they need as they grow.
