In Support of The Donovan Family
I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of the Donovan family during this incredibly difficult time. They did not ask me to do this, but as a close friend who cares deeply about them, I wanted to help support them as they say goodbye to their beloved Edna G. Donovan — a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished “Nanny” who meant so much to her family and to so many in our community.
After a long and courageous journey with dementia and Alzheimer’s, Nanny passed peacefully on April 26, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was truly the heart of her family strong, selfless, and always putting others before herself. Her kindness and love touched generations.
Although she had life insurance, it has not covered all of the funeral and final arrangement expenses. I’m hoping our community can come together to help ease some of that remaining burden so the family can focus on honoring her life and supporting one another during this time.
Services will be held on May 6, 2026, with a viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. at Cranston’s Funeral Home in Seaford, Delaware. Burial will follow at Eldorado Cemetery. A grief-support dinner for family and friends will be held afterward at the Eldorado Brookview Volunteer Fire Department, 5752 Eldorado Road, Eldorado, Maryland.
For those who would prefer, donations may also be made directly to Cranston’s Funeral Home in Seaford, Delaware, or to the Eldorado Brookview Volunteer Fire Department to help support the family during this time.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping the Donovan family in your thoughts and prayers means just as much.
