On Sunday, August 23, 2026, our sweet Cooper suffered an injury that left him with a C6 fracture. He could not walk or feel his legs after it happened. Nicollette had to call 911 and Cooper had to be taken by helicopter from their house in Macon to Grady in Atlanta. He had to have emergency surgery where they cleared out broken pieces and put a “cage” in its place and a plate to stabilize. The Dr said it was reassuring that Cooper had movement in his hands and sensation in his chest. The doctor said he has seen great recovery from this type of injury as well as those who never walk again. Time will tell. The spinal cord was damaged, but not torn. He will be in ICU for about 5 days. Still a lot of unknowns these next few days. Recovery can be expected to be 6-18months (although we are believing for less!). Cooper is obviously going to be out of work and Nic will also be out of work for an unknown amount of time. Please donate if you can. Any amount helps!! Also if you are able to use the "round up" option, it will not take a portion of the money that you are donating, and Nicollette and Cooper will get the full amount. If you cannot give, please share, but most importantly PLEASE PRAY!! If you know Cooper, then you know he is one of the most selfless, amazing, giving, humble, kind humans you will ever meet!! He is the best husband to Nic and the most incredible dada to their babies, Bridges and Primrose. We are truly believing for a miracle over Cooper and know that God has him in the palm of his hands!! Let’s rally around the precious Boydstun family!!!
