In Support of Tasha and Storm
Due to previous electrical wiring issues and a failed inspection, the home does not currently have traditional power service. About six months ago, she purchased a generator so the three of us would have electricity. It was our only source of power and the one thing that gave her peace of mind.
While we were away attending her funeral, someone stole the generator, along with our kerosene heater, which was our only other source of heat. Since then, we have been without reliable electricity or heat. At times, we have had to stay in our car because the house is not livable without power.
We are actively looking for steady work and taking on odd jobs when we can, but it has been extremely difficult to maintain stability while dealing with the lack of utilities and safe living conditions.
We also recently discovered that the property taxes on the home are five years past due, totaling approximately $3,200. We were not aware of this until now, and the balance is due immediately.
We are requesting assistance to either replace the generator or pay the $350 deposit required to restore electrical service, as well as help toward the overdue property taxes so we can prevent losing our home.
Any support will go directly toward restoring power and heat and helping us remain in, his family home and the only home I've had in five years, during this difficult time. Thank you sincerely for considering our request.
