Recently, I was diagnosed with 2 types of invasive breast cancer.

I will be having a bilateral mastectomy in 2 days. It has been a lot to process physically and emotionally, and right now my main focus is healing.

For the next 3–4 weeks I’m not able to lift my arms or drive, which makes even the simplest daily things much harder. I will have to wait for my pathology results to come back to determine whether I will need additional treatment like chemotherapy or radiation. That waiting period will be one of the hardest parts because there are still so many unknowns.

My biggest hope is that this surgery will be the final step in this fight so I can heal, regain my strength, and eventually return to the work I love.

A friend suggested creating this centralized registry because during this time I could really use a little extra support.

Recovery can feel isolating, and small acts of kindness can make a huge difference — whether it’s a meal, a short visit to keep me company, or help with a small task around the house.

Although I am not in pinellas I am not too far over the bridge.

Financial support is also deeply appreciated if anyone feels moved to help in that way. Being limited in what I can physically do right now has created some unexpected challenges, and any contribution helps relieve some of the stress so I can focus on healing.

Cookie has been incredible through all of this and will be with me most of the time, but I don’t want everything to fall on him when he already has so much on his shoulders. On A-shift days I will be home alone, and it would mean a lot to both of us to know someone might stop by or check in.

Those days are:
- March 13
- March 16
- March 19
- March 25
- March 28
- March 31

You can also add your email to receive updates, as this will be the only place I’ll be sharing updates about my recovery and next steps.

Thank you for the love, kindness, and support. Knowing that I’m not going through this alone means more to me than I can ever fully express.

Your help can make a big difference during this time. Here are some ways you can support:

I am so happy to here that you are coming along. I think those spasms will leave when those drains come out. I told Mike about you. He said he went to school with you. He wanted me to send best wishes to you to get better quickly.
