Oncology appointment was today

I had an oncology appointment today. I will be starting oral chemo, injections, and hormone blockers. I get my first injection on Monday. I will be starting radiation eventually. I am still waiting for the insurance to approve the radiation. Radiation oncologist wants 30 treatments and says I will have some pretty bad burns tomorrow. I go to the surgeon and hopefully get to get these drains out. I hope that he can clear me to go back to work in some capacity.

Tabby I’m so sorry. I’ve been fighting my cancer for 2 1/2 years now. If I can give any advice, all I can say is this. During my infusions I would very nauseated and the infusion nurse would give me hard ginger candies to suck on. I’m not sure how it helped but I think the increase in saliva production help to decrease the nausea. Fingers crosef

I am so sorry for all you are going through. I need to go see another sick friend but I want to know if you want people to come see you or do you want to wait. Where are you doing your radiation at? Mb we can come and take a turn getting you there on a day we have open.
