Hello, dear family and friends,

We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Rosette Diaz—a cherished wife, mother, sister, friend, and deeply loved member of the Red Hook and P.S. 15 community—has taken an unexpected and rapid decline in her battle with cancer. She is currently in the ICU, and her family is facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

Rosette has always been someone who puts others before herself. She has shown up for her friends, family, and community time and time again, both personally and through her career advocating for women and families at Planned Parenthood. She has given so much of herself to the people around her, and now it is our turn to show up for her.

Her devoted husband, Aaron, and their young son, Cooper, are facing an unimaginable time. Aaron was recently laid off and is now confronting the possibility of becoming a single parent without an income.

We hope to ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on Rosette and on one another. Funds raised will help cover everyday living expenses, medical and caregiving costs, and other unexpected expenses during this difficult time.

If you are able to contribute, any amount will make a difference. And if you can’t, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Rosette, Aaron, and Cooper in your thoughts means so much.
