Rennie hyde
Hello, family and friends. I hope this message finds you well.
It is incredibly hard to find the words to say this, but I need to share what has been going on in my life. This past year has brought challenges that feel almost impossible to navigate all at once. In January of 2026, I suffered the devastating loss of my husband, Robert, to cancer. Losing him left a massive void in my life, and I am still deeply in the middle of grieving his absence every single day. To make a painful situation even harder, just two months ago, I received my own diagnosis: stage 3 liver cancer. Facing this diagnosis so soon after losing Robert has been completely overwhelming. It is taking a massive toll on me—not just physically, but emotionally and financially as well. Trying to manage the weight of this illness while processing my grief and figuring out the practicalities of everyday life is a heavy burden to carry.
I am sharing this because I am going through one of the hardest chapters of my life, and navigating it all on my own feels like too much. I appreciate your thoughts, your prayers, and your understanding as I take things one day at a time and focus on what lies ahead.
