Hello! We're reaching out today with a heartfelt message about someone very special to our community.

Mr. Greg has always been more than a custodian at Manzanita; he's been a calming presence and a friend to so many children, including my son, Amos. This school year, his absence has already been deeply felt. When my son inquired as to where Mr Greg was, and then came home with tears in his eyes after hearing that Mr. Greg had a brain tumor, I realized we needed to help in any way we could.

It turns out that Mr. Greg had a seizure in June, and doctors found brain tumors that require intensive radiation and chemotherapy.

The last conversation I had with Mr Greg in May was about his wife Candace’s retirement from her job in California and their summer plans to move her to Arizona full time after years of them traveling back and forth every weekend. He was so excited to finally be together full time. Luckily, she arrived, but life looks a little different than what they had imagined.

So, we are doing what we know to do and lightening the load by rallying the community to help support Mr Greg as he fights to get better.

This fundraiser will help Mr Greg and his wife cover medical costs and cope with the loss of income. Your generosity, however big or small, can make a big difference.

Here’s how you can help:
  1. Choose from Support Registry options to contribute money. 100% will go to Mr Greg and his wife if you Round Up, if not the fee is only 2.6%. Every little bit helps!
  2. 'Share' to Spread the Word to others who may want to support Mr. Greg.

Let’s do what we can to lighten the load a little for our beloved Mr Greg!
