In Support of Ludivina Zavala
My mom is a very strong, hardworking, caring, out going and loving person. She has always been on the go and loving life. Until she started getting sick..
My mom has been fighting a very long battle with cancer. First she was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2023 where she under went multiple surgeries due to complications and had chemotherapy but she beat it!
We were all so relieved after we thought her battle was fought but in March of 2025 (literally days after her 56th Birthday) she started feeling unbalanced and was losing her vision, she went to the ER where we were told she had a brain tumor. They then transported her to Flint for emergency surgery where they removed the tumor and sent it out for biopsy testing. Days after we were told that she has what is called Glioblastoma, it is a fast growing and aggressive brain tumor.
Our hearts sank and well I'm sure you can imagine how we felt hearing this, it Broke Us!
My mom had been through so much already from going through multiple surgeries and chemo for her colon cancer but also trying to recuperate from brain surgery that she now had to go through more chemotherapy and radiation for her brain cancer. It definitely was a rough year and half of her going through all these treatments but through all of it she was always smiling and trying her best to overcome it by trying to enjoy life!
After battling Glioblastoma (brain) cancer for over a year, the tumor has returned and it has spread..
I am sadden to say that she is now off all treatments and is now at home where she is most comfortable with Hospice's help!Β Β
I am caring for my mom full time now and her boyfriend has been by her side and helping in all the ways possible. We are trying to prepare for what we all don't want to happen but we are asking for family and friends for a helping hand with preparations. Anything helps and we appreciate it tremendously!Β
