My name is Alyssa, and I’m a mother fighting for the most important person in my life — my daughter. For the past two years, I’ve been involved in a difficult custody case that has taken an enormous emotional and financial toll. Final orders are expected in May of 2027, and I am doing everything in my power to ensure my daughter has the stability, safety, and future she deserves.
My daughter was born in Colorado on March 26, 2022. During my pregnancy, her father asked me to terminate. When I chose to keep my baby, he ended our relationship. Since the day my daughter was born, he has not provided any financial support for her care, her needs, or her wellbeing.
I have been raising her on my own, working for the Army National Guard and part-time as a server at a restaurant here in Colorado. Even with two jobs, the financial strain of a long custody battle has become overwhelming. I currently live with my parents, who have generously stepped in to help. They have already paid $21,000 toward attorney fees just so I can continue fighting for custody and protecting my daughter’s future.
Unfortunately, the remaining legal costs are estimated to be over $50,000 to finalize the case. As a single mother doing everything I can to provide for my child, I simply cannot cover this alone.
I am asking for help — not for myself, but for my daughter. Every contribution will go directly toward attorney fees, court costs, and the legal support required to secure custody and ensure she continues to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving environment.
