In Support of Lauren's Cancer Battle

Lauren's Cancer Battle
Welcome to my Support Registry.
This Support Registry is built to give clear direction to everyone who wants to help in these trying times. Whether you’re willing to give money, send meals, or lend a hand, your support makes a real difference.

Firstly, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Lauren, I'm a 32 year old cancer survivor currently battling cervical cancer for the second time and working full time as a body piercer in Placerville, CA. As if battling cancer again wasn't bad enough, I have recently fallen on very hard times. One of my only support systems in all of this gave me 24 hours notice that they were moving, which left me unable to cover rent and personal/medical bills on top of the loss of the relationship with that said person, who was an incredibly important person in my life. With no savings and no other options, I am left with no choice but to come here and ask for help. My health has been rapidly declining and I have been hospitalized numerous times in the past two months alone, but I still continue to work full time in hopes to bridge this financial gap the best I can. Unfortunately as a body piercer I do not make an hourly wage, so despite my work hours being the same I too have suffered the consequences of a declining economy. I am searing for a second job, but as my treatment progresses I am finding it harder and harder to even make it into the one job I already have, cherish and prioritize. My medical and personal bills are piling high, my credit has taken a massive hit, and the debt is becoming a source of sleepless nights. I only have half of rent saved with nothing remaining for all other personal/medical bills. I fear I face homelessness if I am not able to at least pay my rent by the first of November. I am also facing my car being repossessed. With all of that being said, I remain positive that things will work out in the end. I would truly be grateful for any level of support, even if it was just some kind words and a share. I have set my savings goal as $5000 to help give some cushion for next month. About a month's worth of bills (rent, utilities, phone, insurance, car, car insurance, internet, food, etc) is around $4000 with the extra $1000 being what I am short on for rent this month. Another way to help would be to come get pierced by me at Royal Six Tattoo in Placerville CA Wed-Sun! I deeply appreciate all of you even giving this a glance, and I appreciate any and all help/well wishes sent my way. You all mean the absolute world to me and I am thankful for every single day I get to not only be alive but to be loved by you all. Thank you again, xoxo Pokey.
