Kolter’s Journey

When Kolter was just 22 months old, what started as Flu A (February 15th) quickly turned into something far more serious. The illness triggered seizures and encephalitis, causing significant brain injury and changing the course of his life overnight.

Before all of this, Kolter was — and still is — a mischievous, rambunctious, and spirit-filled little boy who brings energy and personality everywhere he goes. That same determined spirit is part of what continues to drive his recovery today.

In many ways, Kolter has had to start over from scratch, relearning skills that once came naturally. But what has been incredible to witness is the grit inside this little boy and the relentless commitment of his parents, Ethan and Lexi, who continue searching for the therapies that could help Kolter regain as much function and independence as possible.

Today, Kolter is making remarkable progress, thanks to intensive therapies, dedicated specialists, and parents who refuse to stop pursuing the most promising treatments available

Here are some of the treatments currently recommended for Kolter:

Intensive Therapy at Believability
Kolter has been prescribed weekly intensive therapy, currently costing about $750 per week, and expected to continue once a week each month for the foreseeable future. These therapies focus on helping Kolter rebuild strength, coordination, and developmental skills

Stem Cell Therapy – Total Wellness Center (Surprise, Arizona)
Kolter’s family has connected with world-renowned physician Dr. Proefrock, who specializes in stem cell treatments that may support neurological repair and recovery. This treatment begins around $8,000, before travel and lodging expenses

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy – Dr. Harch (New Orleans)
Kolter has also been recommended to pursue Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) under Dr. Harch, a leader in neurological HBOT treatments. This two-month treatment program, including a home chamber, can cost approximately $28,000

Each of these therapies represents hope for continued healing, but they also bring significant financial challenges

Your support, encouragement, and prayers have already meant so much to Ethan and Lexi during this unexpected journey.
