Kolter Kesling "Kolter Strong"
We wanted to share a little update from Kolter's stem cell therapy in Arizona. π
Dr. Proefrock was able to harvest an incredible 400 million stem cells from Kolter! About 10% were administered intranasally, with the remaining stem cells infused back into his body.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Proefrock. His knowledge is incredible, and after spending time evaluating Kolter, he gave us something we've been holding onto tightlyβhope. He told us that while this is still a journey and it may take another 1β2 years, he truly believes this kid is going to do it.
Hearing those words from someone with his experience meant more than we can put into words.
He also compounded several medications specifically for Kolter that we'll be starting at home to continue supporting his recovery. We left Arizona feeling encouraged, optimistic, and more hopeful about the future than ever before.
Our work certainly isn't over. We'll continue putting in the hours with therapy, praying, and celebrating every victory along the way. We're already planning our next trip back in October for PRP therapy.
