Welcome to our Support Registry for the McCormick Family.

Kayleigh was diagnosed on April 1, 2024 with leukemia after a follow up appointment at her pediatricians office for bronchitis. A blood panel was done and she was sent to Children's Hospital in Macon, GA. She was stabilized and was given intense induction chemotherapy while results were pending from a bone marrow biopsy. The results came back with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or AML, with a subtype classified high risk, genetic mutation. She was referred to the transplant team. Stem cell/bone marrow transplant is the best chance for a cure for her specific type of cancer. 

There are many unknowns with her diagnosis and future. Our hope is for a total healing, and desire is for wisdom in decisions for her future treatment plan. Prayers for the family at this time is so appreciated. We all want Kayleigh healed and returned to complete health to have a full, happy life.
